Too cold for me and my hands, but Rooster is capping out right now (western gorge).

It also appears lot D is firing too. Perfect high tide scenario as it is 12:28 pm for Young's Bay today. Forecast I read from NOAA said strong east winds will blow just today.

Somebody will charge it.

Be safe and have fun!

I saw a couple of guys on the Rooster Cam today.
Winds were gusting in the upper 40's, air temps in the lower 40's, but at least it was sunny.

Yep, I saw a couple of winger's getting out.

It looks even windier today, but no sun to warm one up some; just dark and gray.

Burr!

Gorge SUP Foil crew did a healthy downwinder this morning from Dog Mountain to Stevenson. Occasional snowflakes. The water temp isn't too cold yet which really helps the comfort level.

we've had a couple of sessions now in the western gorge winds. water is not cold yet, but the howling east winds can really affect wind chill so wear some good gloves!
I'm forced to don a drysuit now but its not bad if it gets you on the river.

It appears that the ROOSTER ROCK smoke shop is the only place in town offering the wicked and potent "liquid smoke".

a couple of us made it out at stevenson on tuesday. one of the windiest days I have had there this season. very challenging to get out if you have a foil but totally worth it if you can. the swell setup nice with plenty of smoke on the water. check out the last shot of prius larry boosting!

Wow! Great pics Jim!

Has the easterlies dumped a bunch of milfoil at the launch, is that why you say hard to get out with a foil? I'm guessing so from the picture...

There's a nice, gentle, breeze at RR today. Gusts are only into the 90s. Shocked

Wish we could bottle some of this wind for later...

Close up of winds today WED 11/16 by the tri-pod gusts into the high 90's

Very difficult to keep your balance just standing in the gusts...

The wind pushed up a surge which was only a few inches deep but covered the entire beach - made for some great video (still attached)

All the posts I've been seeing about the 90mph + winds had me wondering what the highest recorded was at RR. Apparently it's 110mph! According to Travel Oregon.
