Thu Mar 23, 23 7:59 am Hey JohnF your lost foil setup is in Vanc on Craigslist |
|
|
I saw this a couple days ago and noticed my messages to you are stuck in my outbox so this is the only way I know unless someone knows him and can give him a call,
Got separated from my wing foil board mid-river at Viento. Last seen floating west, probably toward Washington shore. KT board, SAB foil. Posting just in case someone finds it, maybe at Stevenson?
Here is the link;

Just thought you would want to maybe get it back.
Thanks,
Larry |

Can’t wait to see how this unfolds.
I must have amazing luck. Every time I lose a board, I get a call. Maybe because I’ve written all my contact info and “Return for Rewards!” in multiple places. I’m happy to offer up some cash or beer or whatever the finder likes.
Seller did his research on the costs, but never found NW kite.
Nice job spotting this ad! I hope JohnF gets his gear back. _________________ Pull the cork. |

Thanks for spotting that craigslist item. I never thought that gear would get found considering where I lost it. Crazy that someone fished it out of the river. |

I got my board and foil back from the Craigslist poster.
Turns out he's a train engineer and saw the gear stuck in some rocks from the engine cab somewhere near Cook's. He took the trouble to scramble down to the water, grab the gear, then the gear took a train ride home with him.
This was just shortly after I lost the gear back in Oct last year - he just didn't post until last week.
Gear is banged up of course, but repairable I think.
Super lucky! Never thought I would retrieve that gear.
Thanks again for the assist in finding that post and letting me know. |
