Tue Sep 03, 24 5:47 pm AWSI This Week At The Event Site |

AWSI--Association of Wind & Water Sports Industries--is having their annual Expo here at the Event site in Hood River this week. This is an industry only event not open to the general public. They have exclusive use of the Event Site through Saturday at noon, so plan your sessions accordingly.
I'll be attending on at least one day, so if you have any questions about any particular new gear, hit me up here. I'll be posting about some of the more interesting new developments in this thread. Last edited by Nak on Sat Sep 21, 24 9:27 am; edited 1 time in total |

Yup. I've been fortunate to have been able to demo the new One Lock foil for the last few weeks. I'm writing a more detailed review, but let's just skip to the end for now: DAMN! Not only is this foil convenient and easy to assemble/disassemble, but it rides great. The big advantages are low drag and smoothness. This thing slices through the water like a Mercedes. Very, very smooth. If you thought foiling was smooth, this thing will show you what smooth is. That also translates into low drag, which just makes the foil both fast and reactive. The new mast is stiffer than the Phantasm by a good chunk in all axis. Lastly, the new wing/stab set knocks about 1.5 pounds off the weight of a similar Phantasm wing/stab/fuse.
Very, very nice. |
