I am trying to protect my eyes during winging and kiting sessions. I bought some sunglasses but they don’t fit well under my helmet. Has anyone found any good sunglasses that fit nicely under the helmet with a retaining strap?

I have a Bern helmet with a small partial visor

I use Gath helmets, and the only sunglasses that fit comfortably are ones that the temple tips curve down--like the Rayban Wayfarer. I then use silicone tubing cut to length and slipped over the ends as a strap.

After losing a few pair of high $ glasses I found Radians Mirage dark safety glasses which are pretty cheap but functional. They provide good coverage and are fairly low profile for fitting under hoods and helmets. I am sure there are higher quality options with better optics out there but these have worked for me.

Be sure to check for UV 400 rating. If not you might be doing more harm to your eyes vs wearing nothing.

Excellent point!!! That's the problem with wearing cheap sunglasses, they're dark so your irises open up more. If the sunglasses don't block UV well, you're just letting more UV in and damaging your eyes.
